Greek Mainland & Ionian Islands — FAQ

How far is Ancient Olympia from Katakolon?

It is roughly a 40-minute drive inland, which leaves comfortable time to walk the sanctuary, the stadium and the archaeological museum on a normal port day.

Can I visit Meteora from Volos in one day?

Yes, but it is a full day. Meteora is about two hours inland each way, so most tours leave early and spend the middle of the day among the monasteries.
